Abundance living in the MFF – Sydsvenskan

Description: Max Wiman

Published September 1st, 2015

The autumn is upon us and it time has come to close the window and the question is whether the air where the inside is enough for 29 football players.

While Malmö FF’s sporting director Daniel Andersson got hold their breath for a couple of windows, not too many would vanish away, the problem is actually a somewhat different this time.

It has become a bit too crowded in the MFF room inside the window, in the yard outside – but even on the payroll.

29 MFF-players belong right now the A-squad. One of them, Zlatan Azinovic, will be in rehab training throughout the fall. In addition, it has a number of trainings now kryllat around 25 outfield players and three goalkeepers.

In addition, Malmo FF six players on loan, which means that there are 35 players on the payroll (albeit four of them are apprentices).

I dare claiming that the MFF never had such a large A-squad ever.

Clean budget fare Daniel Andersson yet to shine, as transfers are included in the part and MFF sold notoriously player for a lot of money last winter and more some more this summer.

It is logical and natural explanations as to why it has become like this.

The first – and largest – is that Malmö FF has steppat a step up in the quality of the hunt since the position of two straight national championships and two straight Champions League group stage raised the team to another level.

Still in the squad (or lent) are just some players who do not keep up with the trend.

The high turnover is also a reason – it has been difficult to calculate how exactly it will look after the windows. They forced many signings have also made some new players are not delivered to the MFF hoped – and new ones have been enlisted into.

The problem is that the players who are too far down in the hierarchy, or believes himself to be the far away and want to move on, have not taken the tenders received or possibly not received any. Self-image is somewhat difficult at times.

The truth is probably that there are few players in the squad who have had a little too high demands on the new addresses in order to get playing time, or gladly remain with good wages in the MFF.

– It becomes difficult when not all fit. So the conditions are, we have contracts with these players. It is a difficult seat even for themselves and those they have gained in weight, says Daniel Andersson.

The coach Åge Hareide has been lightly distressed observed:

– Yes, the squad is great.

Daniel Andersson is of the same opinion and amidst all the success may well even he wonder whether there is any MFF can change in order not to end up in this seat forward. Something must undeniably be made already this winter window that will.

Bonus Vetande in the form of reminder – would MFF progress to the Europa League after New Year (no, something else does not happen), the club receives just sign three new players UEFA list of games in the

competition this spring. A list may be continued only contain 25 players, one of the three must have participated in the group stage – but do not be left behind – in the Champions League for another club. All three of the new must have played kvalspel to Champions- or Europa League.

It is worth noting the large amount MFF contract expires 2017.

Most loaned players are young but, unfortunately, sums up this type of loan has not been so good so far. It may also be that the MFF-level outpaced several of these players over time.

– Some are good and some less good. We will evaluate future after the season. Some also have expiring contracts, so it solves itself.

Note that Johan Hammar – who played everything in the Norwegian Fredrikstad in other league – just today operates the knee and is gone for a long time in the fall.

His club colleague Amin Nazari also plays everything and has made a success at that level.

Mr Piotr Johansson (Angelholm) and Alexander Blomqvist (Värnamo) are also good with playing time, while Benjamin Fadi (Mjallby) remain a total mystery with the talent he possesses. Sixten Mohlin played sporadically in Västerås in the spring, is now taking new kit at home in Kristianstad.

Of the partial match preparation reasons, as was illustrated this for a workout last week, when Marko Johansson, Paweł Cibicki, Simon Kroon, Erik Andersson, Pa Konate, Petar Petrovic, Franz Brorsson and Mahmut Özen trained completely alone in half the plan.

Özen and Petrovic’s players MFF liked to have lent / sold during the summer. They feel very isolated in the squad.

Cibicki himself wanted to go and Kroon was off and turned. Åge Hareide has clearly indicated that they therefore stand far down on his list.

Erik Andersson, Marko Johansson and Mattias Svanberg (18, 17 and 16 years) can be an anchor of the MFF’s UEFA Youth League law Club selects it (the foundation to be the very good vintages, 98-99), which is thus just as in the fjord to play against the first-team counterparts in the Champions League and in the same game days.

A rule change also opens for Franz Brorsson here. With reference to the school strain for the young players allow UEFA namely from the autumn three players over 20 years, providing the opportunity for Franz, who was born in 1996.

Damage and shutdown mode in the squad may affect, Brorsson jumped into the recently against Helsingborg.

Another thing that makes it is that the MFF should play playoff game in the strange U21 series. Here are the matches so strange – clashes with the CL and thereby also the oldest U team – the MFF despite the abundance everyday can actually get to play a shortage of those games …

***

To note REFERENCE UEFA Youth League. Uefa expanded from 32 to 64 teams. Even the nation’s champions in the age category will be invited. In Sweden’s case, it Elfsborg.

Here, it is not about the group stage, but about two elimination rounds (where geographical taken into account in the draw) in double sessions.

The eight teams that are left go to UEFA Youth League play off. They meet the eight group runners-up among the CL teams for a place in the fourth round.

The eight group winners of the CL teams go directly to the quarter final.

From the quarter final onwards settled all the fixtures in single meetings .
