– The last two, three years it developed, I do not like I wanted to, he says.

– My German trainer Karsten Röwer, had a great training group and it was very focused on taking into account all and everyone’s charging. It was not for me. Felt that I needed more individual training to take the last steps to the top of the world.

But before he could say the apartment in Berlin, pack their belongings in cardboard boxes and carry it all home to Sweden did he control his new existence.

The first point was about to compile a list of Swedish coaches that he would be willing to work with.

A task that did not take very long.

Additionally picked David Wahlgren into the team, naprapath / physical therapist / physio who helped with rehabilitation training after surgery of the herniated disc on 5 February.

The decision that has made him feel like a much better boxer than before.

Time in Berlin gave him the German foundations; protect themselves, keep a distance and work with vänsterjabben. With Antman and Wahlgren style with new elements of närkamp- and semi-distance boxing and to the body is stronger.

– With Tommy, we went back to square one, to broaden my repertoire. It was about learning new techniques which I have not had time to do, he says.

Something Erik Skoglund during Saturday’s title bout against Ukrainian Oleksandr Tjerviak learn to get use out of.

– He’s tough. He runs his style, going forward all the time, swing and dryers box at a fast pace in long
