Sir Alex Ferguson continues to stir up feelings in his new book tour.
Daily Mail dismisses shots of players like David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, Eden Hazard and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as worse than world class.
– There are only two world-class players now and I just worked with a total of four, says 73-year-old.
He won 13 league titles and two Champions League but Sir Alex Ferguson can count the number of world class players he worked with during his years at Manchester United on the fingers of one hand.
– I have no intention to reduce or criticize any of the fantastic or very good players who played for me during my 26-year career at United, but it was just the four of them that kept the world: Cantona, Giggs, Scholes and Ronaldo. And the fourth, Ronaldo was the star on the Christmas tree, says Ferguson Daily Mail.
“Seems drown in them”
The Scotsman’s Word teaches arouse feelings not least among players like David Beckham and Wayne Rooney. But English can perhaps take comfort in that even colleagues who Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eden Hazard, Manuel Neuer or Luis Suarez is world-class in Ferguson’s book.
– If you read the newspapers or listen to the TV commentators seems we drown the world-class players. But according to me there are only two that are active today: Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
