Players hailed by all.

Meanwhile, acclaimed Tomi Kallio, 38, another hero Andreas Waldo; 25.

“Had hugely unlucky”

This summer he suffered a cancerous tumor in his back. Last fall he was invited to Växjö’s dressing room after the matches of the masseur Lenny Anderson Lycke and since then he has been around the team.

– This type of cancer affects only one year in Sweden. It is cruel unusual. I had tremendous bad luck hit, as the doctor said, explains Andreas.

– Right now I feel pretty good. I received radiotherapy before New Year and chemotherapy since January and is not finished yet. The tumor has disappeared but now all less tumor cells away too. It’s been a fucking trip.

What Växjö Lakers meant?

– Every time I was in the dressing room, I have been able to let the cancer for a few hours. It’s fantastic to be a part of this. These guys are incredible. Noah (Welch), for example, been at my house and coffee

break and I have been with him. It gives energy.

“is just hockey”

Tomi Kallio also believe that Andreas presence gave energy to the team.

– He has been incredibly positive and always in good spirits despite the fact that he has a disease that is not so funny. I think we have given him some love, but he has also given us tremendous joy. You get perspective. We can be stubborn after a loss, but we just keep on with hockey. He goes another fight and is always positive. That takes you to, says Kallio.

– It feels awesome nice to give him this moment with gold. It’s not every day things like this happen.

“Are you kidding or what?”

Andrew Waldo hymlar not with the gold gives him more energy in their struggle.

– Oh my God, are you kidding or what? This is fantastic. There is so much greater when you meet the guys every day, he said.

– It feels great that they think of me when they won gold. They have done a lot for me but I do not know if I’ve done so much for them. But it sure feels amazing.
