Amanda Zahui wrote Swedish basketball history in the night.

The 21-year-old was selected as second in the WNBA draften.

– This feeling is incredible .

The bomb came last week. Amanda Zahui, 21, dropping out of college to become professionals in the WNBA. That, along with the Notre Dam’s Jewell Loyd took the same decision, raised the temperature on draften considerably.

It has been debated in the wild in the United States as to which of supertalangerna to be selected first. Tonight Swedish time, it was clear that Seattle chose Jewell’s first choice.

But Tulsa, who was next in line, picked Zahui.

No Swedish player has previously been near anything like.

But Zahui do not know if it will be a trend that more college players do the same thing and drop out of school.

– Both I and Jewell is very unique player. But whoever wants to do that must be adamant. And be sure to be happy. This feeling is fantastic, says Zahui.

Has declined the EM

When Fahriya Abdi was drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks in 2012 she made it to number 13.
Zahui attention throughout the United States when she took 29 rebounds and scored 29 points for her Minnesota. The Swede erased a 14-year old record and since then the hype just continued. She has been subjected to one of collage league’s best player and the predicted one, to say the least, bright future.

Zahui has refused to play the European Championship with Sweden, but the national team still hope to be able to solve with Swedish language prospective WNBA club.
