Rangers comfortable boot – some great goalkeeping by Lundqvist – Expressen

Anaheim. Henrik Lundqvist and his New York Rangers got the start they were hoping for in the playoffs.

It was 2-1 at home in Madison Square Garden against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight, Swedish time.

– Always nice to get a good start. There is much excitement and anticipation when you start the playoffs, said Henke to Sportexpressen.

He saved 24 shots and won once goalie duel with Marc-Andre Fleury in Pittsburghkassen.

Rangers gained a 2-0 lead in the first period goals from Derick Brassard and Ryan McDonagh.

The Penguins reduced in the middle period by Blake Comreau but came no closer.

– We did a good match from start to finish,

summarizes Henke.

The Rangers managed to neutralize Pittsburgh two seizures stars Sidney Crosby and Jevgeni Malkin, who both left the ice but points last night.
