The Real Madrid forced likely fight for the Spanish football championship without Luka Modric.
The midfielder Luca Modric limped off the pitch on Saturday, when Real beat Malaga 3-1.
After he was examined by club doctors was found he have a stretched ligaments in the knee. This means that the Croatian star is probably gone remainder of the season, Spanish media mentions
Modric recently returned after five months long break due to injury.
Even Gareth Bale looks like it could play in the quarterfinals rebound at home against Atlético Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday. Bale must leave the meeting against Malaga after only five minutes with a vadskada.
The first quarter-final match in Madrid showdown in the Champions League ended 0-0. If Real takes it to the finals on June 6 would Modric could play in it.
