Ottawa bridge for new loss – Aftonbladet

PITTSBURGH. Erik Karlsson scored by NHL career games – and and even tackled as a whole Niklas Kronwall.

But even that was enough against the inexorable Montreal.

Unexpected hero Dale Weise decided in overtime and saw so that Ottawa is now down to dock.

– But we can definitely come back from this disadvantage, says Karlsson after the bitter 2-1 loss.

The Montreal Canadiens looks to be on track to do with Ottawa as they did with the Tampa last year.

They won four straight in the first round – and after the night’s sudden death-profit in electrified Canadien Tire Centre features the words 3-0 also on its Canadian neighbor.

A victory, on Wednesday, and even a “sweep” is complete.

But Erik Karlsson is convinced that Senators can backfire – and become the only the fifth team in history to turn 0 -3-underdog in a Stanely Cup series.

– Nothing is lost yet. We still have a good feeling in the team and can definitely come back, he told the Ottawa Sun.

“Can play as he wants”

The Swedish reverse the star made for himself everything he could to save the series already in the night.

He was responsible for one of the NHL career best games – and undoubtedly the most physical.

He stuffed opponents as a whole Niklas Kronwall and literally knocked down hill Nathan Beaulieu.

– Erik showed tonight that he can play in exactly the way he wants, says coach Dave Cameron.

“EK65″ was also the assistant to the 1-0 targets Clarke MacArthur dashed into the middle of the first period.

“It is especially …”

But nothing helped.

A calm and methodical Montreal remained in the game, period by period – and then stepped surprising Dale Weise into the action.

First, acknowledged he Ottawa the lead just under six minutes remaining in regulation time.

And 08:47 into over time let loose he then a shot that snuck past Craig Anderson – who had replaced publicized Andrew Hammond after the two initial losses – and thus was the bang hard event settled.

– I thought it was big enough when I made the tying goal. To also get to decide … it is special, says Weise to Canadien Press.
