It is now 3-3 in matches and everything is decided in Washington on Monday night.

Loss there for Capital and Swedish trio Nicklas Backstrom, Marcus Johansson and André Burakovsky become available for the World Cup games with the Three Crowns.

If this was now the last NHL game at Nassau Coliseum (Islanders move to Brooklyn in the fall), so it was a farewell it struck sparks.

– We want to come back here and play more this spring, the audience’s amazing, ‘said Islanders captain John Tavares after the final whistle in a television interview with NBC Sports Network.

It’s been tough games between these teams earlier in the eighth finals, but this sixth meeting was a crazy tough event.

No coincidence that all the players on the ice wrestled with each other after the final whistle then Washington Hill John Carlson sent away a shot on goal in the second the signal is sounded.

Kyle Okposo pounced on Carlson and then was uproar in time.

Nicklas Backstrom wrestled with Johnny Boychuk, so that the helmet flew off and players from both teams looked to want to send a message for the deciding game in two days.

At the Islanders was the fourth chain with Cal Clutterbuck, Matt Martin and Casey Cizikas who set the tone with hard Tackle along the boards from the first draw.

Cutter Buck was specifically looking for Alexander Ovechkin, but the Capitals Russian top scorer is no stepping away but he slapped on the back as soon as the opportunity arose.

Martin was the worst – or best – with eleven registered hits and Cutter Buck was not far behind with seven tackles.

The goals, then?

Well, John Tavares gave the Islanders the lead in the match after barely seven minutes on a hard wrist shot from the shots sector.

Washington equalized in powerplay with just five seconds left in the opening period.

It took until the middle of the third period before the next goal came and it was the result of Capital invested little too hard to press there Tavares end boards.

Man dropped the mark on the other opponents, giving Nikolai Kulemin free position in front of Braden Holtby.
