Henrik Lundqvist has now been the target of more league games than any other goalkeeper in the New York Rangers. 33-year-old broke the club record in the night’s victory against Philadelphia.

Rangers meeting with Philadelphia got a hot start. When the teams met just over a week ago, the Wayne Simmonds Rangers captain Ryan McDonagh in the face. McDonagh got a concussion as a result and has missed four straight games. Rangers Dylan McIlrath took out the team’s revenge on Simmonds after barely 40 seconds. The fight started off hot lead that Rangers then won 3-1.

The match was more than just another in a series of victories for Henrik Lundqvist. The former Frölundaiten, as GP recently met in New York, became the club’s meste goalkeeper in series connection. With 667 league games in the NHL, he has played more matches than any other between Rangers poles.
