Johansson saved the home crowd – Helsingborgs Dagblad

Martin Johansson took speed, went from the Finnish hill Tommi Kivistö and pass to Nicklas Danielsson. The seasoned Lausanne player made no mistake and put the puck in the roof of the net behind the Finnish national team debutant Ville Husso.

– The intro was perhaps what was most special for me. Then there was the optimum start, so it was incredibly fun to be a part of, said Johansson, who made his debut against the right Finland a year ago.

Now did he his 13th international, but would not really have been. He Lightning called up on Thursday morning when it became clear that Marcus Sorensen, Djurgarden, and Fredrik Pettersson, Lugano, had suffered from stomach illness and could miss the game.

– I got a text when I would go and leave her daughter in kindergarten . So I had to go to Kumla and download stuff instead, said Johansson, whose team has had to move on when the Three Crowns taken Behrn Arena.

As the last man in Johansson had only a total of 3:07 of ice time and five changes. It was enough to make an impression.

Will Sorensen and Pettersson healthy and no other ill get Martin Johansson does not play the return in Stockholm on Saturday.

After taste inception saw Tre Kronor out tinkering victory with a late goal in the second period (17:19) and early in the third (1.40).

Linus Klasen, Lugano, was behind both. First, he struck an opening pass to Niclas hill Burström who shot 2-0 and then he played until striker Johan Sundström who set 3-0 with one hand on the stick.

But two Finnish reductions (Harri Pesonen and Mika Niemi) gave a dramatic end. Debutant Andreas Englund took a penalty, but the Swedes sorted out the storm, partly thanks to goalkeeper Mark Smith who made a couple of sharp saves.

– I thought we were worthy of winning. The first period was not very good, but then it got better and up to ten to twelve minutes in the third, I think we work well. Since it feels like we started playing on the results, said coach Pär Mårts.
