They come and go, people with a mission to lead IFK Gothenburg. Now proposed Gunnilses longtime chairman Frank Andersson elected at the annual meeting March 7. I suggest that we utbringar a prudent reason.
The sport is all about knowledge, understanding and leadership positions association habit, negotiation skills, time and desire. All this has a 60-year-old Andersson, who wielded sticks at two blue and white annual meetings and now, as chairman of the committee called, thought the conversation was about planning for the future.
I have had many conversations with Frank Andersson through the years, noted his constant presence on the Hjällbo Vallen (and Gamla Ullevi ), his ability to deal with the divisive games scandal, work with integration, young people sliding and community development issues.
I have always appreciated Frank’s dedication, his courage, his ability to listen, his power to make decisions and always after first listening.
I know Frank knows that the assignment to lead the IFK Gothenburg is far from simple. Especially not now, when the whole business victims of leadership and lack of funds and the first point, if elected, is to drive the process to find a new revenue-generating club director.
Frank Andersson is a social democrat and as such closely associated with the former chairman and Gunnar Larsson and Bertil Rignas , but also Göran Johansson .
We speak of course sometimes, what kind of president a compound IFK Gothenburg needs, and that Frank could possibly burdened by being associated with the Gothenburg spirit we have learned to look down on.
Frank Andersson is no savior, no perfect, but just what IFK Gothenburg needs. Not for his party’s political connection but for his association knowledge; historically knowledgeable and with a wide, almost unique network of contacts in the sports Gothenburg.
Ahead of the annual meeting 2013 suggested the former President of the supporters club angels , Andreas Johansson , together IFK members Kristoffer Norén , Ake Josephson and Tomas Olofsson a new Nomination Committee consisting of Marcus Toremar , Kent Olsson and Joakim Brinkenberg .
Now, the Nomination Committee proposes, led by Joakim Brinkenberg, Andreas Johansson as a new member of the board of IFK Gothenburg. Both are active in public relations and a passion for communication.
The proposed board may, with Johansson and Jacob Andreasson a clearer link to the supporter wrist.
Both are active debaters in most current issues related to IFK Gothenburg are repeat visitors at Gamla Ullevi.
It may be their blue-white history and now have the opportunity to actively influence the development of the association from the boardroom.
If the get elected, and I assume that they will.
Only one of the 80 name suggestions for board members was a woman. There, both the Nomination Committee and the association something to bite into the future.
