Known fiasco – eliminated in qualifying – Aftonbladet

It was not a brilliant sprint qualifying for the Swedish women.

First, forced a sick Jonna Sundling set and then was Charlotte Kalla just 31st and went out.

The Swedish national team in skiing during the winter plagued by viruses and several riders have suffered from infections.

And before today’s World Cup sprint in Norwegian Drammen disrupted an outbreak once the Swedish team.

SM-winner ill

Jonna Sundling, who last week won the SM-pin and hailed large, was forced to cancel due to illness and was replaced Maria Nordström.

Nordstrom managed however to move on from the qualification as Jennie Öberg, Linn Sömskar, Stina Nilsson and IDA INGEMARSDOTTER (best placed of the Swedes who finished third).

Fiasco for Cold

It was worse for big star Charlotte Kalla.

The Swede responded to a failure in qualifying and had only the 31st time, which means that she can not continue to run when the races will continue in afternoon.

Cold ended up just outside the top 30 and was eight hundredths behind Russian Elena Soboleva who went on that last girl.

Swedish men were qualifying with no success. Oskar Svensson, Johan Edin and Teodor Peterson went on, but showed no further momentum over the skis. Instead, it seems Russian team have regained momentum. Three of the four fastest were Russians, Alexander Panzjinskij (49 a in the sprint cup) that one.

Final Session begins 14:30.
