I have felt that there has not been anything in Färjestad.
I have not been alone.
But three young värmland boys not only supplies, they’ve got the whole Karlstad to hope again.
Last rivals Färjestad and Frölunda met in Karlstad ended with humiliation for the home team. Ghastly 0-6 was a blow which even got the coach, Färjestad icon Tommy Samuelsson, becoming hard questioned.
It was a bit up to the evidence in the evening and Färjestad passed the test.
A prerequisite for whatsoever to match Frolunda is that the momentum is there.
Färjestad had it directly from the face-off. The first period was definitely the home team. Good variation between fierce pressure and overall goings made Frölunda got problems.
Mikael Johansson delicious uppåkning, where he was cheated out virtually the entire Frolunda, and Niklas Arells perfect finish made the Färjestad had a goal to play on .
If something happens to the audience
Frolunda forced to hunt and in the beginning of the third period pushed one of the most, thanks in part to an undue expulsion from the home team. When an equalizing goal was hanging in the air, they beat to.
Färjestad new first line.
Audience favorites.
The Young Guns.
The chain of Oskar Steen, 17, Rasmus Asplund, 18, and Joel Eriksson Ek, who turned 19 a few days ago.
Oskar Steen tackled away världsmästarbacken Elias Fälth and the puck ended up Joel Eriksson Ek. “Clabbes Boys” was totally uncompromising when he broke into the post, and sent the match-winning 2-0.
And it was anything but a coincidence that this particular trio decided. Each time they were inside raised the tempo and Färjestad could move up the game. It was all the same feeling.
Four matches – four wins
And it feels all the way home on TV that something is happening with the audience in Löfbergs Arena as youth chain is inside.
Eriksson Ek and Asplund know most back from the World junior Championships and SHL games. Although both were born in 1997 feel they are already established as SHL players and most likely two future NHL players.
The third link, Oskar Steen, are not nearly as well known for the wide audience hockey. Top scorer in the youth team and now that he had the chance, he has really taken it.
Right Sagittarius Steen feels like a perfect third link. He combines skill, sharp skating and a very hard job.
Ahead of the home game against Växjö put Tommy Samuelsson together Rasmus Asplund, Joel Eriksson Ek and Oskar Steen.
The result?
Färjestad won all four matches and junior chain together have accounted for eight points. I saw the match against Växjö and fasting directly to the newly composed first chain.
injects energy in their team
I have not really known to Färjestad have what it takes to challenge the best Act. But suddenly has a whole new offensive threat that suck the energy from their opponents and injects energy into their team.
And not least, it has received a chain of three värmland boys who just love the crowd. Asplund with Filipstad as the parent club, Steen from Forshaga and Eriksson Ek who are educated Färjestad.
At the same time: a home victory against a little jaded Frolunda, not least the scoring clicks, does not mean that Färjestad suddenly popping up as a hot gold candidate .
It has seen too sluggish and uddlöst during parts of the season. But one thing has Färjestad succeeded: to win games despite the game not always convinced. It also allows Karlstad team are now only one point from fourth place.
And with the red-hot junior Färjestad chain is very interesting to follow the future.
