After two silver medals hoped Jacob de la Rose on a more noble rank.
But at best it can only get a bronze.
– It feels so clearly sour, he said after Junior crown 1-4 loss in the semi-final against Russia in the JVM hockey.
The team captain Jacob de la Rose had a goal for the championship of Canada. He wanted to go home with a gold medal after two straight finals losses, USA in 2013 and Finland in 2014.
But after semi-final defeat to Russia in the Air Canada Centre, there is now only one bronze to play for.
– Of course I would have liked a gold, he said.
– I have two silver then before and felt, before this year, maybe it was my last chance to take that gold . But now kept in there all the way.
“Just disappointed”
Junior crowns were really not even close.
After a goalless first period of Russia took a steady grasp of the duel when the team during my act managed to get two goals, Alexander Sjarov and Zijat
– We talked about that we would have good discipline but I think it was Russia that was better than us there. We took some unnecessary penalties and Russia eventually won deservedly. Right now I’m just disappointed, said Jacob de la Rose.
Match for the bronze
Junior crowns are now awaiting a bronze match against Slovakia on Monday night, at 22:00 Swedish time.
But there was nothing that Jacob de la Rose wanted to talk much about minutes after the loss against Russia in Toronto.
– There is nothing I are focusing on. Right now I’m just disappointed in this match, he said.
– But it is clear that we will play with pride and do everything we can to take the medal.
