Seel far behind in the Dakar Rally – Västerbotten Folkblad

It was tough for Annie Seel on the first leg of the Dakar Rally. The Swede, who makes his first Dakar Rally car driver, was 127 nd and is just over an hour and ten minutes behind the lead.

Nasser Al-Attiyah, Qatar, won the Dakar Rally in 2011 and was fastest in the 170-kilometer-long introductory stage between the Argentine capital Buenos Aires and Villa Carlos Paz. Al-Attiyah has 22 seconds down to the runner Orlando Terranova, Argentina.

Thomas Berglund is the best Swedish in

the motorcycle class, approximately eleven minutes behind leader Sam Sunderland from the UK.
