Hellner ninth in the pursuit – Swedish Radio

Marcus Hellner shows nascent form – on Sunday, he finished in ninth place in the pursuit of the Tour de Ski. He was five seconds behind the winner Petter Northug.

The end of the 15 km pursuit in German Obertsdorf was dramatic. When Marcus Hellner tried to advance in the last uphill hooked him in leading Martin Johnsrud Sundby. In the chaos that occurred snatched the Fabiani away with Halfvarsson and Norwegian Niklas Dyrhaug.

Halfvarsson who had good glide was going to relax your grip towards the home stretch. He was then pushed out by Italian and instead could Petter Northug to overcome and win.

Marcus Hellner finished ninth,

distanced by five seconds.

– It is very positive that Hellner got better momentum and come back after the Christmas and New Year holidays, says Radiosporten expert Torgny Mogren.

Now wait a day off before it gets sprint Tuesday in Val Mustair, Switzerland.
