Pellegrino won – finished down Norway – Aftonbladet

Val Müstair / Stockholm. Calle Halfvarsson reached the final – but had no chance.

Instead took the Italian Federico Pellegrino home sprint race.

– It felt like I was going to vomit before the final, says Halfvarsson.

Simon Andersson and Calle Halfvarsson was the positive efforts on the men’s side. Andersson reached the semifinals and Halfvarsson it to the final.

But there took the energy out.

Halfvarsson hung not at all, it was a sixth place.

– I satisfied that I took it to the final, but I had nothing to give. I was exhausted in the semifinal, he says to SVT.

– It feels like you’ve had some bad luck with investments in final heats.

Northug second

At the front of the

lead, it became a showdown between Federico Pellegrino, Italy, and the Norwegians Martin Johnsrud Sundby and Petter Northug.

Pellegrino, who won the sprint in Davos, showed muscles and sprinted down the Norwegians. Northug finished second and Sundby third.

In the morning it’s time for the 10 km classic style.

– I hope I have a better sense then than what I had today, says Halfvarsson.
