Sebastian Eriksson is back in the blue and white starting line-up.
– I think I got something good from petningen, says midfielder.
IFK Gothenburg’s players quit the workout to sign autographs on balls that around 200 children are waiting in her arms. It is the sponsor event at Comrade farm – and this is appreciated of course.
Inside the dining room is the pasta carbonara on the discs and the barely have time to meddle in the stomach before it is time for the bus trip to Sweden.
When Gustav Svensson is standing as a central defender, it means that Sebastian Eriksson suddenly free up the grater in midfield. At least if we are to judge by training sessions a week.
– You think so? It feels good anyway. I have had little time to train – and time to think things through. Tried to do what I’m good at, says midfielder.
He has to stand by the side of the pitch in recent times, poked from the starting line-up.
What has not been good Sebastian?
– My game overall. It was too much last summer with two games a week. I did not really it. When I was in the middle of the summer, I realized maybe not quite what it was. But I figured out the problem – and then I can also work with them. I have not done the right things in the matches – and it has reflected my performance. I’ve been frustrated that I can be certain things – and when not the work I get angry for that, says Eriksson honestly.
What have you done to get back?
– I have rested and energized about. I’m not used to playing a full season. Body and head could not stand. I have in any case been injury free all season – and I am very happy.
Does it even have been good to be benched?
– I always want to play! But I also think I got something good out of it. I have been practicing on some things that I think I missed out on the pitch, Sebastian says.
