Chelsea had once again margins against the “Chelsea went on new heavy loss – SvenskaFans.com

In an entertaining match, Chelsea go on yet another loss after Mauro Zarate and Andy Carroll got goalscorers at Boleyn Ground. Despite ten men managed to Chelsea scored the equalizer through Gary Cahill in the second half, but Carroll’s long-awaited goal was giving the home team the win.

José Mourinho chose to field the same team as in this week’s Champions League match against Dynamo Kiev. This meant that Kurt Zouma again was right at the back, with Ramires and Nemanja Matic as the defensive innermittfält area.

Even Slaven Bilic chose an expected starting eleven. Successful player Dimitri Payet played on the offensive midfield behind the striker Diafra Sakho.

In the first half went mostly from Chelsea. A tentative start got an early goal when Mauro Zarate shoved 1-0 in 17 minutes. Payets corner was not cleared away by the Chelsea defense, and a completely clean Zarate was able to deftly put the first goal. It was Eden Hazard who all too easily lost mark on the Argentine.

The goal meant that West Ham had a match image that suited them just fine. Chelsea had a lot of ball possession but rarely threatened Adrian West Ham goal. Instead, the home team could comfortably lie low and bet on counter-attacks.

After a half hour of play, however, came a lot of chances on both sides. First it was Willian who forced Adrian to a rescue of Brazilians mixer free kick. A minute later Chelsea in principle as close to an equalizing goal one can be. Zoumas header was cleared off the line and Hawkeye-replays showed that only a very small part of the ball was at the finish line.

The next chance went to West Ham when Payet heeled further to Manuel Lanzini. The Argentine received a giant position to extend the home team’s lead, but his chip went over both Asmir Begovic and into the net. Chelsea then got an excellent counterattacking mode when Willian had brought three fellow players against two West Ham players. Willian passed the ball to Cesc Fabregas, who put the ball into the net, but the Spaniard waved for offside. It was not much, but replays showed that the verdict was correct.

At the end of the half Chelsea had once again margins against itself. Matic received his second yellow card after pulling down Diafra Sakho. The judge first elected to just blow free kick, but after talks with the assistant referee got the second card front. It was clearly a cheap second card.

Chelsea had to play the entire second half with ten men, and this led to Mourinho swapped out John Obi Mikel instead Fábregas. Mourinho was not on the bench, but had been shown up in the stands at halftime.

Ten minutes in came the equalizer with the first real scoring chance of the second half. Willians corner, the ball was down by Zouma, which was a real threat at corners during the match. The ball ended up with Cahill firmly pressed into 1-1.

This led to Chelsea took over the game and suddenly felt uncomfortable with the West Ham match the situation, even a man more. Bilic responded by making a swapped with 22 minutes left, that would be decisive for the match. Carroll came in instead of Zarate and in the 79 minutes nodded Englishman in the victory goal. Aaron Cresswell hit a perfect cross for Carroll, who was marked by César Azpilicueta. The Spaniard was obviously no chance of airspace against the striker.

Chelsea changed into Baba Rahman and Radamel Falcao to chase the equalizer but the away team could not take with them a few points away from the derby.

After a first half when Chelsea had hardly any margins with them felt like they still could carry something from the match after Cahill’s equalizer. But after a positive period-dried Chelsea not all the way in. Chelsea will now reload at next week’s League Cup match against Stoke City away from home.
