Larsson knocked out in the last WTA tournament – Swedish Radio

The 56-ranked Larsson lost in straight sets (2-6, 5-7) against tjeckiskan Barbora Strycova, ranked 42nd.

The 27-year-old Larsson had set point in the second set, the lead 5-4, but tjeckiskan saved setbollen and could then break of Swedish serve and go up to the 6-5 line. Larsson saved since the first match point, but could not prevent Strycova from winning the second match ball and therefore the game.

WTA tournament in Luxembourg Larsson’s last year. She remains in the double tournament, which she pairs with Kiki Bertens from the Netherlands.

Larsson can still look back on one of her successful tennisår, with victory in the Swedish Open last summer as given peak.
