Malmo FF drew more than 19.1 million euros, corresponding to just over SEK 178 million, from UEFA for last season’s Champions League participation.
It was when the European Football Association on Friday released the exact list how much the organization handed out to last season’s Champions League clubs.
Notably, finalists Juventus, who Malmö met in the group stage, pulled the most money of all, EUR 89.1 million (SEK 830 million). There are nearly 30 million more than the victorious Barcelona who earned 61 million euros.
Juventus got 58 million euros from the market pool, which includes television money, while Barcelona got 24.6 million from the pot.
MFF received nearly 100 million for their participation, including playoff cash, 9.3 million of the points the team took and almost 70 million from the market pot.
The question is whether Malmö can blast 200 million dike in this season’s participation.
