However, it was anything but a comfortable victory today. My stomach is completely run down of all the nervousness of the game now so it will be well to take cover and pillow into the bathroom and sleeping next to the toilet in the night. West Ham really had margins with him in this match; Chelsea had a ball dancing on the finish line, a legal goal after a shaky offisideavblåsning and then a penalty in another match had not been expelled. But what does it do? West Ham won and is in writing, in third place in the table.
Today’s London derby and thus ended 2-1 to West Ham. 1-1 might have been a fairer result but it is as they say – the top teams have fluency with them!
West Ham started the game very spirited. The first 30 minutes was West Ham clearly better team. We had a lot of ball, the ball rolled well and was alert in the assault where we got some half-hazardous locations. Chelsea’s attack was limited instead to shots from outside the penalty area except for a mode that Costa had. His shot on the half-volley, however, to the moon, so it was perhaps not much to boast of. In defense, however, had Chelsea closed again at the center very well which meant that West Ham had to attack in the middle. It did not, however, when we had skilled Dimitri Payet on one side and speedy Zarate at the other edge. Lanzini, “jewel”, played in the middle very high up which he again did very well.
In the 17th minute was West Ham awarded a free kick as Payet was convicted after a good work of Lanzini. Payet yourself hit the free kick, an ok free kick that forced the Chelsea keeper Begovic to guide the ball to a corner. Payet also hit the corner – a hard corner kick that bounced past the clump of players in the penalty area and out to the penalty area outer corners. There stood Zarate completely clean and pulled the ball very skilfully on the half-volley directly into the net! 1-0 to West Ham was thus a fact! A little clumsy defending by Chelsea who released Zarate free outside the penalty area, but it will still not take anything away from Argentina’s performance in the shot which was exceptionally good! Fantastic nice to West Ham finally got to score goals at Chelsea then we’ve gone scoreless from the last five league games against the blue-clad.
From 30 minutes into the game, however, came Chelsea more and more in the match. They began to take over possession, and found themselves increasingly on the offensive half of the field. Collins had problems with the witty players in Chelsea but luckily he made no super-bloomer despite its patented chance of fractures. West Ham, however, had a frightful turn in the 36th minute when Chelsea were assigned a corner. A Chelsea player won the duel, the ball that bounced past Adrian and against targets. Luckily Lanzini caught up with the ball and was able to narrowly kicking the ball away before it rolled across the finish line. Målkamerasystemet showed that it was only the type of the ball valve that had not passed the goal line. The rulebook says that the entire ball must cross the goal line for it to result in a goal. Thank buck for it!
In the 42nd minute it was time again for a lightning fast counterattack by Chelsea. Fabregas received a pass outside the penalty area and made no mistake at his trades as he shot the ball past Adrian and into the goal. However, it was found that Fabregas was offside position when the pass was proposed. It may not have been caught offside more than 2-3 cm, but the linesman had somehow managed to perceive the situation and raised his flag. Once again West Ham margins on its side. Seconds later blew the winds once again The Hammers path. Sakho got the ball on the edge of the offensive half of the field and tried Fatso feint, ie, poking the ball past the opponent and try to catch up with it. Matic, who defended, hung not really left behind and had to take a wrestling grip to prevent Sakho to get past. The line judge understood the situation and talked with the chief judge who showed up a yellow card for Matic. This was Matic second yellow card thus resulting in a red card. In another match, this had perhaps not given a yellow card, but Matic actually get themselves to blame. There were two really unnecessary situations and the two yellow cards that he quite simply had been able to stay away from. What followed was almost just pete drastically. Fabregas and Costa were presented with a yellow card because of the whining at the referee while Chelsea’s assistant coach were displayed on the stand after having entered the pitch. Even Mourinho was exhibited in the stands at half-time – why, I have no idea.
West Ham, however, was not fully under the ice during the first half of play the last game minutes. For example, Collins had a nice header on target and Lanzini chipped the wrong foot ball across goal to become frispelad of a heel from Payet.
The second half started West Ham surprisingly very slow. The players looked almost a little too comfortable out when the ball rolled, almost as if they thought they had already won the game. I do not know if Bilic had told the players to take it easy and be cool, but it was fast anyway not. Instead, it was Chelsea who showed up speed and excitement, almost as if you were wondering which team it was actually had a man less on the pitch. Azpilicueta also tried to smooth out the man’s number on the field when he showed up extraordinarily beautiful Hollywood’s knowledge for a nod duel with Zarate. Perhaps we Azpilicueta on any film after his football career, but then he probably practice a bit more before he gets any sensible actor.
In the 56th minute came, however, it is absolutely not allowed to happen. Chelsea equalized to 1-1 after a really krigarmål by Cahill on the corner. The stable and peaceful feeling that previously had appeared was blown away and it was noticeable that both West Ham players and the crowd was both nervous and frustrated. Would history repeat itself as it so often did on Sam Allardicis time we’d drop a line and losing despite more? Luckily it was written rather recent history. Carroll was substituted against the painter Zarate and it began pumping dangerous crosses into the box. Very well acted by Bilic to dare to change the match the picture even though they had a draw at home against last season’s league winner. This winning mentality pervades the entire West Ham at the moment, the club management and coaching staff to the squad.
In 79 minutes the evening was saved. Cresswell, who incidentally was really good in the match, sent a höjdarboll into Chelsea’s penalty. A höjdarboll that the keeper Begovic quite easily have been able to take down, but instead chose to remain in the target area. Instead, it was Carroll who literally from the toes when he jumped high to head the ball. Luckily, well there because he reached the top of the ball, heading it in it neatly into the net past Begovic! A classic Andy Carroll goal! Full Boleyn Ground exploded with joy and how nice this was not for Carroll? The last two seasons he has been damaged by than he has played. Now he’ll come in and be the game hero in a London derby at home to rivals Chelsea. Congratulations Carroll and thanks! Your goal meant that West Ham won the match 2-1!
The last 15 minutes of this match were the most nervous final minutes that I have known since the play-off final at Wembley in 2012. Why
West Ham is in writing, in third place in the table. Third place in the table after 10 games played! Then we had anything but an “easy” game schedule. West Ham have managed to harvest magnificent Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City and now Chelsea win all the matches with a total of 9-2 in goal difference. That alone is a feat in itself! But what is amazing with this season is that there is a completely different mentality in the team. We can attack with 7-8 players, get rid of the ball and give opponents a counterattack chance, but then we still somehow 7-8 players in the defensive play. This West Ham is a team that plays for each other! Bilics has done a really good job to rally the troops. We have individually skilled players, but still realize that the team is greater than the self. Take Mauro Zarate example. Last season he did not know what it meant to pass the ball, he wanted most to do everything on their own. This year, he shows that he is still individually talented but he has now decided to show their skills at the right times and play on the ball in the right times. Today rewarded it with that he had to make a goal.
Thank you West Ham in today’s match. Thanks also judge the audience and of course Chelsea.
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world!
