HV71 was SHL’s greatest disappointment during the season run-up, and parked long on the second to last place in the table – with just hopeless last Karlskrona behind.

But lately, Jonkoping team found the form. That the club is on the right track showed man at home against Malmo on Friday evening. 6-2 means that the HV71 now has three straight games without a loss.

– We have more energy in the team now. The game starts putting more and more. We have been back players, and trained us together, says Martin Thornberg to C More.

Just Thörnberg became great protagonist against Malmo. 32-year-old, who before the game only scored one goal this season, accounted for two direct hits.

– It was about time. It’s been a little heavy, he said.

The first goal came in the first period and meant 1-1. The second came in the third and meant reassuring 5-2. In between, he played even until key 4-1 at the end of my act.

Malmö’s hopes of points extinguished at the score 4-2 in the third period. Then pulled Kim Rosdahl wearing an unnecessary match penalty which meant the visitors had to play five minutes short-handed.

– We goofing off today, says the Malmö coach Björn Hellqvist to C More.
