Malmo / Stockholm. Long awaited goal and victory – and a million rain.

Markus Rosenberg, 32, became the hero with two hits against Olympiakos.

– I do not really know what I was thinking afterwards, the backfired. It’s just luck, says striker.

There was a sky BIG night in Malmö.

Markus Rosenberg broke a negative trend when he did the first Swedish club team goal in the Champions League since the season 2000/01.

At the end of the first half – after the carelessness Olympiakos defense – Markus Rosenberg could easily roll into 1-0 Malmö FF.

– The first goal is a pretty good objectives, where they almost bidding on it. I run up with the defender after a seam from Isaac. All of a sudden I get an open goal and setting, says Rosenberg.

screamed for punishment

Team chased the equalizer during the rest of the game, and was among others blown from a penalty. But instead of a Greek rid decided to call the MFF.

With ten minutes left on the clock pushed Rosenberg in his second goal of the evening, which gave Scania club a 2-0 victory in the Champions League.

– Pawel did all this research and I had an open goal. I got hit at the tip of the toe, I was very tired there. It was an oblique hit, but they go in now too. Right now, it feels

good, says striker.

Sheep nine million crowns

This victory makes the MFF are third in the table. The club will also get a million, just over nine million Swedish crowns, for the win. Juventus lead group A before Atlético Madrid. Olympiakos is last in the group where all three points.

– The chances are there, for sure. There, we said in the beginning too. Now just take the next game, Atlético gone, it will be a tough match, I think, says Halsti and smiles.

– Away a point, then you are happy. Home takes you three, that’s our goal. We are on the right road, home is most important. At home, we can take three points against Atlético and Juve too.

– We make a team effort again today which is incredibly good. It is the team effort that is most important. On paper, all teams better than us – Sparta Prague, Red Bull, Olympiakos – but we do it very well as a team and therefore we can handle it. And Robin Olsen has done really well to Nil.
