Quiet gold celebration in Stockholm – Swedish Dagbladet

After a night alone in a hotel in Stockholm waiting for the football team collection.

– The night was a little quieter than the other guys, said Malmo FF’s Erik Johansson on her gold celebration.

Malmo FF did not spend much time in Stockholm on Sunday evening.

Shortly after the 3-2 victory against AIK jumped player and leader on a chartered plane to launch gold party with supporters at a central tavern at home in Malmö.

But not all.

It left Erik Johansson and Emil Forsberg.

In place of celebration in gold hats and several glasses of champagne, it was a hotel night in the capital in anticipation of Monday’s collection with the football team.

– There was of course a bit sad when you could not go home, said Johansson short before the training session at Stockholm Olympic Stadium.

– But I was out käkad with some friends, so that was nice too.

Emil Forsberg, who also spent part of the evening with a restaurant visit, though in a different direction than his teammate, stated briefly:

– There will be more occasions to celebrate with the team, he said.

Particularly bothersome was not the evening in Stockholm.

Especially not when the football team’s collection with EM -kvalmatcherna against Russia (9 October) and Liechtenstein (12 October)

was just a few hours away.

– Feels great to be here, of course. It has gone well and now we have made results in both the Champions League and the Premier League, so it’s fun to get the chance again. To show that I should stay here, said Forsberg.

The midfielder was already in the squad against Austria but spent the whole match at Ernst Happel Stadium on the bench.

Now he hopes to to get some playing time.

– It is up to me if I’m close or not. Should do well in the practice sessions, so we’ll see how long it lasts. But everything feels good. We have won national championships and we make good results in Europe and I aim to do as well as me as usual.

Even Erik Johansson, who made his debut in the national team in January tour, hoping for a little playtime.

– I am here to perform at the football which I’m good at, and hopefully I get to play a little, he said.
