The clubs will stop extra camp before World Cup – Folkbladet

The damallsvenska clubs will not release players for an extra squad training in five days for the World Cup next year.

-In national team, we dare to think outside the box, I can not say the same for our associations, says coach Pia Sundhage Aftonbladet.

Her predecessor Thomas Dennerby felt that the extra camp week that the national team had before the World Cup in 2011 was one of the factors behind the World Cup bronze. But when Sundhage swimming clubs in five extra days in May next year, she was turned down.
