Michael Phelps turned off for six months after last week’s DUI. He will not get swimming world championships in August next year, the American Swimming Federation decided.
Michael Phelps went in last week settled for DUI. It was the second time the 29-year-old was driving drunk, the first was in 2004.
The American, who had started a drive against the Olympics in Rio in 2016, announced on Sunday that he is taking a break. The following day American Swimming Federation judgment on six-month suspension, and he will not
be selected for the World Championships in Kazan, Russia, in August next year.
Phelps is the Meste Olympic gold medalist of all time with 18 pieces.
