For the sixth time in NHL history met all 30 teams on the night of Sunday – with a string of successes for the Swedes in Hockey.
Swedish meeting between Anaheim, with four blue and yellow player, and Detroit, with no less than eight Swedes, was a shocker. With only 23 seconds left of the match Anaheim’s Ryan Getzlaf decided on their own game by putting 3-2 for the home team.
Detroit dominated the match and had the loss despite a series of hot chances. Gustav Nyquist was a class goal – until played by Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen – when after a fine shot into the top corner sat 2-1 at Anaheim goal early in the third period. Nyquist has thus been two goals in two games.
Pittsburgh’s Patric Hornqvist continued their successful start to the season, when the team beat Toronto 5-2 away from home. Already in the seventh minute, did Hornqvist goal – his second in as many matches. A minute later he took up to Sidney Crosby, who put
Nicklas Backstrom and André Burakovsky accounted for two målgivande passes each, when Washington beat Boston 4-0 away from home.
In St. Louis, it took no more than 48 seconds before Joakim Lindstrom made his first goal of the season. St. Louis won the game against Calgary by 4-1.
Ottawa slope Erik Karlsson scored his first goal since he got the role as team captain, while the opposing team’s Erik Karlsson was a goal for Tampa Bay, his second so far this fall. The meeting ended 3-2 to Ottawa after shootout.
