Guidetti longs to Friends Arena: “Never played international home” – Football Channel

After Sweden’s secure 2-0 against Liechtenstein going European Championship qualifiers against Moldova on Monday evening. All indications are that Hamrén o Co to settle for play-off in November, this requires that Russia loses at home against Montenegro, while Sweden wins to reach the European Cup 2016 directly.

– I put no emphasis on it yet, we have one game left to play and in football anything can happen. We will make sure to do our job and I look forward to playing at home, in Sweden, an international. Has never done it, says John Guidetti who was in focus after his understudy.

– Since I want us to make a good last game and gets a nice game of us and then we’ll see what happens after it. Stranger things have happened in football.

The Swedish heel in place as princess screaming for John Guidetti and it is obvious that he is popular with the fans.

– I appreciate it, they are lovely, and it is amazing that so many come down to support us. I hope that many will Friendsville too. It’s fun to play, it is easier to play, it gives energy too.

Have you played at Friends Arena?
– Never, did not play on either Rasunda and that is something I regret. We’ll see if it gets playing time, but warm up is just as much fun with it.

Can you draw some extra spectators
– I can not answer, the is impossible. Mike (Guidetti, Dad) will definitely and I’ll fix 30 tickets. I think it will be 30 plus in any case.

How do you perceive the external pressure on Hamrén admitting U21 players?
– No, I put emphasis on, when we come here, we are all the same, there is no under-21 players or the A-team. We are all the same, we are a team and we fight all the same conditions. We are coming up and are new to work hard in training and try to prove that we have the chance.

What was it like to play with Ibrahimovic who gave your a nice seam start?
– Fantastic. It is easy to play with such players, I got to play 45 against Croatia (2012) and now I got 30 to. It’s also something I will carry with me and it is also great, it would have been icing on the cake to score on his fit but that’s the way it is. Felt like we found each other quite well.

How do you see the possibility of playing time now that Marcus Berg is injured?
– I want to continue doing what I have done, to do good trainings. I was rewarded with playing time that I have done well, it is amazingly fun and I thank Erik for the confidence and opportunity. It’s incredibly fun.

– The most important thing is that Sweden should take the three points, the most important thing is that as players get to play, but that we continue to take the three points and give ourselves a chance.

Was Hamrén told you that you would get playing time?
– There was nothing he told me, he just said when I would jump into that, I made a grim week for training and go out and enjoy. I thank you for the chance.

Most people know the story about John Guidetti who received debut in the A-team in 2012. It was in a friendly against Croatia in March for Euro 2012, but which a badly cooked chicken had severe complications and took away a few years of his career.

– A and O are to be injury-free and play football. I feel energetic in my legs, I feel strong. I knew it would not go on a day when you have been away as long as I was. It is a fresh product, you have to train on anything to get good at it. If you have not done anything in two years, it takes time for the body to get back. It begins, I know now, I have been back in nearly two years and now I feel like I should be. It is felt in everything: the body, the pressure in the legs and in touch.

Want to play all the games, and not just appearances?
– I’ll take what I get, I play in a great league and I play in a good national team. I have had a fantastic six months with the things I will remember all my life. Currently playing life, if I get a similar six months, I will be happy. I do not care if I play one minute, five minutes, as long as I get to experience the things I will be happy.
