Vaxjo Lakers lost the Swedish meeting in the CHL – Swedish Radio

The Sixteenth rebound in Växjö ended with strong home pressure. But when Djurgården goalkeeper Mikael Tellqvist went out injured before the end of the period climbed Mantas Armalis in and played great.

And with two quick goals, Henrik Eriksson and Matt Anderson, turned Djurgarden to 3-2 and forced the Vaxjo to score two goals to reach Extension.

It became one. Calle Rosen shot nicely into the team’s third backmål for the evening – Ilkka Heikkinen made the first two – but despite strong boost at the end managed to Djurgården clear draw and advancement.

– Not very easy to get into as d is , but I got into it well and it was nice that the guys caught on and cleaned away the puck in front of the goal, said Armalis to the EuroSport.

Both coaches think it was an “up-and-down match” and Växjö Sam Hallam noted that his team can now concentrate on SHL – and there waiting Djurgarden back, Two times in a row, even.

– Good to get a draw away to Vaxjo. They are Swedish champions still said the Djurgården coach Hans Särkijärvi.

Luleå was about to fritter away the advancement despite the 3-0 away against Farjestad in the first meeting. Farjestad won the return 3-1 and was close to a sensational turnaround.
