Thursday evening it’s time for the first quarterfinal against Lulea for Frölunda. The team captain Joel Lundqvist is excited about the task
– You know of course that it’s playoff time again and you have a little more nervousness and tension in the body than usual. It belongs to that one feels that there is a little extra of everything in a playoff game, Joel Lundqvist.
Do you have what it takes in the years to take you all the way?
– It remains to be seen but we have shown at times that we can beat any team. We have a game that works well, but then it is important that we come up in that level.
The playoffs means a blank page where the chance to write new hockey history still available for Frölunda. But the last years playoff history, it is not much fun. 2010 team went out in the quarterfinals. 2011 was the team did not advance to the playoffs. 2012, 2013, 2014 drove the team into the quarter-finals.
What will you do differently this year?
– The key is that we really continue to play our games that we did not come from what we have done well. The speed and playability is the key for us and play with the puck. That’s what we press on, says Joel Lundqvist.
Frölunda’s coach named Roger Rönnberg and he thrives in this situation as an endgame means.
– Personally, it feels great. I love the playoffs, I love the crucial matches. It’s the best there is.
Much of the pressure on the team lies with the coach and Roger Rönnberg says he put a lot of pressure on himself and unable to be satisfied. Even after the JVM gold as he thought of things that could have been better. Rönnberg came to Frölunda before last season and the great successes have failed to materialize but he says that it is part of a larger plan

We have been second in the series for two consecutive years. Poking down an organization that has been working for ten years after a fixed time schedule that does not happen in a jiffy. It must be humbling to see, says Roger Rönnberg.
