Sunday’s match started at the same high pace. The home side, lifting a hearty sound-effects in Kinnarps Arena, began its best. The pace was almost frantically and it slammed firmly in the close control. HV71 held the puck in most of the period, but had a hard time getting to the really hot locations. LHC played great defense game but looked stressed out on a few occasions HV put högpress and guests had trouble getting the puck out of their own zone. After more than half the period, however, the LHC lift up the game and get into a bit more of an attacking game in the HV’s zone. The initiative, however, returned to the HV when Jonas Junland appear out 2 minutes for tripping. The visitors, however, show samples of their sharp short-handed and HV fail to create any real danger. At the end of the period, Oscar Sundh a semi-free mode, but Gustav Wesslau makes a good save. Had it been boxing match had HV won the first period on points.
Second period have time to just be old before 1:29 HV71 takes the lead. It’s Eric Christensen lurking up Mattias Backman in the stands before his neatly pressed there 1-0 behind David Rautio. Continued very HV71 after that and, among other things, Calle Ridderwall a good opportunity to control but misses with centimeters. Something illogical to match the picture will the LHC’s acknowledgment after 7:11. Home Players staring at the puck after Patric Carlsson struck by his own stick against Jonas Almtorp then John Salomonson sneaking around in the castle and cut to the right. 1-1 behind a hidden Wesslau. Just 40 seconds later, it is time again. And with a goal that looks almost the same. Jacob Micflickier bakes up in the castle and frispelas by Gabriel Karlsson. Wesslau looks to have it between the velcro wraps with the puck slides into the goal. It had enough home keeper wanted back. After 10 minutes, Linkoping location in powerplay after a home deportation. It will, however, unsuccessful. After 15:43 there will be a double penalty and game 4 against 4. Accept the home team now, but Linkoping defends well. Right at the end of the period becomes Daniel Rahimi sent off and HV manages to create a scoring chance just in the closing seconds.
The third period begins with games in numerical superiority of the home team. It is a control in the post from an equalizer match. LHC, however, remains strong in the short-handed and sorts out there again this time. Christensen creates a new position after just over six minutes, but shoots wide this time. Immediately afterwards it becomes mess and Andreas Jämtin and Daniel Rahimi appear out 2 minutes each for roughing. HV is now fighting game for the equalizer, and it is not far off after 11:34 when Campoli hits the post. Oscar Sundh have a great opportunity to close the match after barely 16 minutes, but he may not be the order of the bouncing puck. Shortly after it is instead acknowledged. Mattias Karlsson shoot at wide LHC player but gets back the puck and can shoot 2-2.
Shortly before the HV71 completes his turn, then it is a gross mistake by the match referee. Laines club is up in Salmon’s face and it is an obvious penalty for high sticking. Television pictures show obviously what happens, but the judges dare not likely to take a home penalty in this state and frees completely incomprehensible. After the LHC since passed away in the offensive zone can Christensen and Ridder Wall come in a 2-to-1 position against the LHC. David Rautio leaves an incredibly large gap on his left and there have been Christensen no problem with that popping where the puck. Linkoping then remove the keeper to create a pair of sharp chances against Wesslau. Further than will not, and match series are smoothed.
The best of the Game:
* HV71 – Eric Christensen. A no-brainer. The lightning speedy Center makes 2 goals, have bid on multiple and wins almost every face-off he takes. Brilliant evening.
* LHC – John Salmonson. Rips and tears and is a constant threat, not least in the short-handed. The scorer.

Prior to Week 9: Tougher week to wait
Linkoping
Last week gave full dividend to Linköping and nine important points in the battle for a top ranking. With five points down to the nearest bar so the team has given themselves a good chance to make it through directly to the playoffs, but with five games left so much can still happen.
