Viasat will continue to broadcast English Premier League. During Friday announced the TV channel’s sporting director, Per Nunstedt, MTG extended the agreement until the season 2018/2019.
It’s been a long, drawn out process on who will take care of the broadcasting rights to the Premier League in the future. But on Friday it was announced that MTG will continue to broadcast the English top league.
– This means that we now have the Premier League in nearly four years, because the season has just begun. From next agreement will also make it more game days because the Premier League will be shown on Friday evenings, says Per Nunstedt in a press release.
The news did not come immediately as no surprise. Earlier on Friday it became known that the Norwegian TV2 had extended their Premier League contract. According to the newspaper VG cost channel’s new three-year agreement about 1.65 billion NOK, which is the doubling of the previous agreement.
