Hart kept City v Real Madrid – Sveriges Radio

scorer Ronaldo missed Saturday’s league match against Rayo Vallecano because of a thigh injury. He was declared ready for play for the first CL semi-final against Manchester City coach Zinedine Zidane but was not even on the bench. Lucas Vazquez took Ronaldo’s place in the starting line-up.

Both teams showed a disciplined game that made the entertainment value was not the best. Especially the Real Madrid controlled the game impressed but also Manchester City’s high defensive and chasing after the ball to get a victory at home.

In 40 minutes, David Silva was forced to get off. He has been injured and was back in City’s first game at the weekend against Stoke.

Slowly safely moved Real Madrid up positions. Zinedine Zidane, who said that both Ronaldo and Karim Benzema were healthy, chose to replace Benzema against Jesé score and therefore it was only Gareth Bale remains of Real’s attacking trio.

At the beginning of the second half got the game more speed. Among other things, had Sergio Ramos early good nick, however, went straight at Joe Hart in the City goal. Both teams lost more and more of its controlled defense and in the 71th minute got Jesé chance but his header hit the rib top edge behind Hart.

A few minutes later, Real received a penalty when Nicolas Otamendi hung on the coattails Vazquez. And Casemiro had a header that Hart’s reflexes saved him.

The Match chance did however Pepe suddenly got the ball a few meters in front of the City’s goal but just stood there, Hart and Pepe fired the ball straight at Hart.

Pepe took revenge when he stopped substitute Raheem Sterling when he was going through in the final minutes.

Real Madrid, this is the 26th semi-final in the Champions League, and the sixth straight. For City, it is the first and a victory at home was almost a must for the return in Madrid on Wednesday.
