Stenson well with at Augusta – Västerbotten Courier

Sports Telegram This year’s first golf major of the men’s side, the US Masters, is running. And Henrik Stenson is definitely. Three birdies and two bogeys on the first nine holes show that the aggressive game plan is under way.

Augusta, Georgia offers perfect conditions, sunshine, moderate wind and a temperature of around 20 degrees.

the Swedish world sixth grade began by losing a battle already on the first hole, but then made two birdies, thanks to good iron play. Unfortunately, he lost his stroke on the short sixth hole after bunker visits and a subtle miss with the putter.

His one stroke under par after nine holes, however, that he is on a shared sixth place, but when all players have not even started its round yet.

Stenson came to Augusta otherwise in good shape, he finished second in last week’s race in Houston. The newly-appointed 40-year-old said before the Masters that his game plan is to invest more and play tougher.

– I’ve played a little too defensive here before. I know I have a game to suit major competitions, you just have to manage to get up there too. Of the ten times I played here, it’s not many times that I felt that I came here in good shape. Now, I played well in Houston this weekend, especially on Saturday, and was just one stroke Jim (Herman) who played really good golf, said Stenson before the competition.

David Lingmerth is on par after six holes played .
