Sportbladets Johan Linderstam in place in Augusta – Aftonbladet

AUGUSTA. What. Fucking. Drama.

Danny Willett wins then the Masters after a rarely seen nerve wracking, and here you sit and sweat profusely after crazy emotional tombola – as a simple and neutral spectators.

So how are then Willett winner – who got his second giant trophy in less than two weeks? And how are actually the year’s biggest loser Jordan Spieth?

Different worlds who also says.

We saw the signals already on Saturday Evening. Jordan Spieth, who seldom shows nerves, played with emotions when suddenly outside the sweater during the last hole and finished for once with some blotches in the scorecard. Bogeyn on hole seventeen followed then by a forest embossed double on hole eighteen, and the result was a four strokes lead as quickly and merrily was down to one stroke. And even if Spieth showed great calm outward – he feels after all, a bit like a 22 year-old uncle with a resting heart rate of 30 times – so suddenly bubbling panic inside. Before the American went to bed on Saturday night he called namely in his swing coach Scott McCormick rushed flew from Dallas to support his protégé during the final day’s play and it helped obviously in the first nine holes yesterday when the world number two played in a trance and so far was four strokes under par for the round.

where long unsure games

But it is not enough to play well for three and a half day of golf without regard to persevere through all four, and when Spieth dropped six strokes on three holes – and four on one! – There is always someone there Out and about who is more than ready to pick up the mantle.

Yesterday, his name was Danny Willett – and somewhere it was actually written in the stars that it was he that would actually win this thing from the beginning.

Danny Willett and his wife Nicole did get their first child in late March, but the birth was actually expected to last long and it was therefore unclear whether he could even set up in the year’s first major. But when his son, named Zachariah, according to Willett himself was born 13 days too early (there is talk about cesarean section because of health reasons), he had finally the opportunity to participate in the Masters and with a wife who also fills in just today it feels a bit that fate was on his side, and all the little subtle signals pointed in exactly the same winner.

Terrible feeling for Jordan Spieth

and the scenes that took place in the clubhouse, when he just

skypat with his wife while his caddy threw himself around his arms when the victory was complete after Spieths bogey on the seventeenth, is already classic. There are also those that took place just a few moments later, when last year’s winner according to the custom at Augusta gave the winner his green jacket.

For nearly all remember it was precisely Jordan Spieth as won last year, and just minutes after he holed out on the eighteenth hole – and just over an hour standing on a historic by clapping in perhaps the world’s most prestigious golf tournament – himself forced to hand over the clothes that he would rather have had two copies the need to be understood to be a completely terrible feeling.

Though the newly crowned Master Master could of course not have cared less, for every golf tournament has only one winner and one is “on a roll” so are you. And then, a father for the first time almost two weeks ago and winner of his first Masters title yesterday … Who actually said that 13 was an unlucky number?

Not Danny Willett anyway – player gave Sweden its first half major victory.
