Dramatically – but Sweden to the European Championship final – Expressen

AACHEN. The Swedish hoping the national team tore away a medal chance in the team competition at the European Championships.

Malin Baryard-Johnsson and Helena Persson was too costly strikes.

– The medal is gone. If we get five or ten now is for me to zero interest, says Henrik von Eckermann.

Sweden was in ninth ahead of Thursday’s second round of laghoppningen, after a crackdown by all four riders during Wednesday’s time-jumping.

Sweden thus had 11.3 errors, more than four errors up to third place.

For a realistic chance of a medal had three clear rounds required.

There were two.

Douglas Lindelöw and Henrik von Eckermann avoided strikes and climbed thus in the individual competition.

Malin Baryard-Johnsson were eight errors while Helena Persson gathered up twelve faults on the track, which means that the team had to add to eight defects to their already 11.3 wrong.

– There were two real plus and the two really rudely, says Sylvester South Beach.

The battle for the tenth and final seat was hard, but finally went to Sweden.

But little hope for Friday’s finale has not Sweden’s national coach.

– Someone medal with the team is unlikely to be, says South Beach.

– The medal is gone. If we get five or ten now is for me to zero interest, says Henrik von Eckermann which however has great chances individually.

von Eckermann has for Friday’s continuation less than a swoop up to the individual European Championship gold.

– It felt very good, from start to finish.

It is one thing to zero, but once know that it’s working between rider and horse is an incredible feeling. It’s the best round I’ve done with him, said von Eckermann.

Douglas Lindelöw, who also went flawlessly, has faced on Friday more than a swoop up to third place.
