Gais turned underdog 0-1 to lead 2-1. But with two minutes of normal time acknowledged Norrby – and the match was taken to extra time and shootout.

Gais ended up at a disadvantage in the first half when Richard Yarsuvat from close range merciful nod home the shot for the home team Norrby.
But in the second half leveled the Reuben Ayarna with a hard left shot, and just over ten minutes left came Kieron Cadogan free with the keeper. He found a hole between his legs and sat 2-1.
But the game was not decided, just before full time Norrby could backfire and put the 2-2. It was återicken Yarsuvat like that hit, this time on the volley and the bad angle.
– It is clear that it was hard then, but we knew we’d recipe from half an hour for us to do something good, so there is no point moping together, says Moenza.
The extension took Norrby lead to punishment, but Gais again came back and equalized to 3-3 in the 109th minute by Johan Lundgren.
The shootout was thus decide the match, and it was also dramatic, with misses in both directions (and two saves Gais goalkeeper Magnus Berglöf). But in the end – with the throw Association 16th penalty – could Malkolm Moënza be the big hero when he set 9-8 and thus sent Gais to the group stage in the Swedish Cup.
