Celtic against Malmo is an even draw where it beforehand is hard to say who has the upper hand. Celtic are a big club and has a lot of interesting players, but is also the beginning of the season, while Malmö is halfway into the season as well as peaking just in time for the meeting in Glasgow. It has been interesting to follow developments in the Swedish media in 2011 when Malmö played against Rangers. The headlines then claimed that it was a nightmare draw, and that Malmo was hefty underdogs, which is not true. Rangers in 2011 was much worse than Celtic in 2015 but still had to be the big favorites. I wrote a post on the MFF forum where I explained Rangers Development (and soon to be bankrupt) and finished with Malmö has good chances to go ahead. It felt quite natural, really, but still it had to post very ear, and spread on various Facebook groups where people comment on the posts was something in the words “Now I have got up hope again” “read the above post. I think we can actually cope it “. The humility that existed then, might have turned into a cockiness against the Scottish League. Perhaps the rumor has caught up. What do I know. When Celtic played against Helsingborg in 2012 there was talk a little milder on favorite exclusion, it was 60-40 to Celtic but that Helsingborg had good opportunities. The year after raffled Celtic once again against the Swedish Resistance – Elfsborg – who then talked about that they had very good chances, it was evenly with a slight advantage for Celtic. For this year’s qualifier, MFF-Celtic, it appears, conversely, many columnists, journalists, fans think that the MFF is a better team and maybe even scarce favorites. Many speak of the “Celtic” is not the team they were before. Honestly, it’s very difficult to compare prior games (though it is fun), because there are so many factors that come into play in a qualifier. Comparisons have been very many, it has been about teams gained against as the other lost against and vice versa, therefore it is satisfactory that the meeting is now here. Say what you will about the law, or which players they know, which players are good, the trainers routine, so live every CL qualifying round their own lives, at least in the champions route. It does not matter if it’s the Lithuanian champions or the Azerbaijani ditto standing on schedule, it will be sweaty because those leagues, rightly, is fairly smooth, unlike before the system was on.
The first match played at Celtic Park, and ticket sales have gone for good. It seems that there will be over 55 000 and by a large entourage off at around 1000 Malmö supporters which is their biggest away entourage in a European qualifier. There are few things better than watching football at Celtic Park. It’s a great stadium, with great fans, and will thus be a special experience for all dresses fans who go over.
The away team is Rosenberg and Adu suspended. Adu saw red against Salzburg in a match where Malmö played out his records, and greatly impressed with their efficiency. Rosenberg will be a big setback and was really good last against Salzburg. Players to watch out for is obviously Djurdjic who was also in 2012 and seems to be a constant concern. He has also matured in the game since then and become a more complete footballer. The rock appears to have been a nytänning and learn to be tagged to show his old team how good he can actually be. Rodic was good against Salzburg and seems to be a really good acquisitions for the Malmoe. Arnason is an acquaintance when he played against Celtic in Aberdeen sweater, he made no major noise in Aberdeen but will certainly be tagged to a thousand. MFFs right-back, Tinnerholm is another player who made a great impression in European games and seems to rise at better resistance. Otherwise MFF no law that requires a detailed introduction, and I trust that their editorial explains to his players. Much talk has been around Åge Hareide who is good at psych resistance. When he trained HIF against Celtic in 2012, he showed off in front of the Scottish journalists and delivered the quote after quote. Scottish journalists are used to correct acidic and tilbakdragna coaches, so they look enough forward to be dealing with Åge again. Åge has played a similar game to this meeting where he tried to psych Celtic, not least when he sat and smiled at Rugby Park when Celtic only came away with 2-2. He seems to be a huge motivator and will create several headlines before this meeting is over.
If we go from a Norwegian coach to another Norwegian coach, so you can say about Deila he kept himself from an altercation by Age, he has rather been pretty focused and quiet. It has been projected little as lärljungen to mentor where Deila obviously wants to show that he has become a skilled and experienced trainers. After last year’s qualifiers failure has Deila great pressure to take Celtic CL. Celtic have gone ahead without playing particularly well so Deila obviously hope that the game will sue and that Celtic can lift themselves .. A good start is often the key at Celtic Park.
Deila transforms their team with a 4-5-1 conversion as always, with a likely starting eleven with Gordon to score, Lustig and Izaguirre who backs and Boyata and Van Dijk as central defenders. Boyata was really under the ice last against Inverness but learn to be motivated to make a better performance. Van Dijk is currently perhaps the Scottish league’s top players. It’s not only a central defender, it is a playmaker who beat decisive passes, which goes up to the
Where is Celtic in 2015? The decisive meeting with Malmö will be an important match for Deila. Celtic are significantly better in 2015 than they were in 2013 when they played against Elfsborg, but probably a little worse play quality than the team that played against Helsingborg in 2012, but possibly a better team game today. Lennon built his teams more on individuals and their accomplishments while Deila built more on his system, and the team itself. It will be a real measure of value. And who knows? Perhaps Celtic show Sweden again that you actually should not be underestimated.
