Murray dedicated coach the victory – Aftonbladet

Andy Murray had double reason to rejoice. He won the Masters tournament in Montreal – the same day as coach Amélie Mauresmo became a mother.

The Scot told himself the news of the award ceremony.

– She gave birth to a boy this morning. I’m not sure she stayed up to see this game, but Amélie, this is for you, ‘he said, raising his goblet.

In the final, Murray defeated world number one Novak Djokovic 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 – and the victory was long overdue. Serb had won their previous ten meetings on hard courts.

Amélie Mauresmo has coached Murray since the summer of 2014. When she told me in April that she was pregnant had the shots already enhanced training team with Jonas Bjorkman. Andy Murray and his wife, Kim Sears, also awaits children.
