Petter Northugs contract dispute with the Norwegian Ski Federation is not yet completed .

Northug has been offered a spot in the Norwegian National Team, but has not responded to the union’s requests.

– We are still waiting for a final clarification, says Torbjörn Skogstad, leader of the Norwegian length Committee , to Dagbladet.

On April 7, was dissolved last season contracts between Petter Northug and the Norwegian Ski Association.

Since the parties have tried to agree on how Northug will have the opportunity to represent Norway in the World Cup next season. The Norwegian Star is sponsored by the supermarket chain Coop, a direct competitor to the union sponsor savings.

The union has offered Northug opportunity to compete for Norway in the World Cup, but at the same time continue its collaboration with the Coop. However, they have demanded that he competes in the Association’s clothes and do not do any advertising for the company during the ski season.

Now it is clear that Petter Northug still not responded to the union’s offer.

It is now up to 29-year-old self to make contact with the union and state its position in the contract issue, says Skogstad.

– It’s Petter who eventually have to take the decision whether to say yes or no to an agreement which corresponds to what we had last year, said Skogstad.

Last season, chose Northug to accept the offer from the union, which looked much the same as that at issue now.
