Putt Nobody gave Lennarth advancement – Helsingborgs Dagblad

Fågelbrogolfaren suffering something in the golf world called “the yips”.

– I have twitches in his hands. It is only the wrists that move. No big muscles, no shoulders, says Lennarth.

After Friday’s second round of the European Tour on Vasatorps GK drove Lennarth a long workout at the anguished practice putting green together with his mental coach Kent Lindahl, who also works for the US-pros Pernilla Lindberg and Anna Nordqvist.

– It is good to have his mental coach and be able to reflect a little. He was out looking a little bit and had a good look at what happened, says Lennarth.

And it was a completely different Camilla Lennarth on the greens during the competition’s third day, which was played in harsh rain conditions. She made a flying start with three straight birdies and ended on 68 kinds. In total, she is on five under par, but has the whole nine strokes up to the leading Danish Nicole Broch Larsen.

– I am clearly pleased that I have moved me up a few positions. I will fight for a good placement and continue with this process, I have, say, the sixth placed Swede.

Lennarth believe, however, not that she resolved their putting problems altogether.

– No, I do not think so. It is certainly lurking somewhere, but I have certainly gone in the right direction.

Last summer I took Camilla Lennarth his first professional title, but suffered a slump after winning the Slovak Europe Tourtävling.

– Then it was little more that the ball started going in all different directions. I have worked to try to learn to hit a little longer and with it goes the ball a little more oblique, says Lennarth.

Along with veteran Maria McBride – former Deer – is Lennarth competition’s premier blue and yellow elements on a shared sixth place.

– It is very far up. What I can do is play as good as I can and take as good a position as possible, says Maria McBride.

Isaberg Golfer Lina Boqvist was surprising the conductor ball on Saturday, but over 78 kinds raged 24-year-old in the field.
