Liverpool are fighting for a Champions League spot for next season. Hence the need for any three points at home against Manchester City in the afternoon.

It started well.

After ten minutes Jordan Henderson ball to the left off the offensive penalty. He took a step to the right before he got on a party hit. The ball was sitting behind stand a chance as City goalkeeper Joe Hart.

– There was a shift and Raheem found up to me. I took a step to the side and thought, “I try”. Fortunately, the ball went in, Henderson says according to the BBC.

In the 25th minute equalized Edin Dzeko to 1-1 after good work from Sergio Aguero.

Yet another dream destination

With fifteen minutes left of the game at Anfield came next party hit from Liverpool.

Philippe Coutinho got the ball on the left side of the penalty area and went into the path, pulled on the right and found in with 2-1 in the far corner.

City chased an equalizer at the end of the match, but did not get the pressure that the team had hoped. Best location, David Silva, but his shot went well wide of goal.
