Fourth straight for the HV71 – Swedish Dagbladet

HV71 had lost the season’s two SHL meetings against Brynäs before Monday’s match between the teams.

A suite Jonkoping club wanted to break.

If they succeeded, it would also mean the fourth straight league victory and hang on a quarter-final place in the table.

And so it was.

HV71 was a number greater than the visitors and won just 5-2.

– Really good from our side exceeding 60 minutes, says striker Filip Sandberg to C More.

– We really wanted to win, and it showed.

The home side took the lead as early as the first minute, . Brynäs equalized shortly afterwards, but in the final stages of the first period came the psychologically important 2-1 goal. Sandberg snatch the puck and pushed it into the top corner, alone against the goalkeeper.

– The sitting pretty good, he says.

In my act went HV71 away to 4-1, and closer than a reduction of Luke Kilström in the third period never came Brynäs. Instead, shut Simon Önerud the match with his 5-2 of empty bags.

– This was just too bad. Second period was really bad. In the third, we give it a chance in every case, but they will win fairly, says Kilström.
