Frölunda took the sweaty victory – Göteborgs-Posten

It was the reverse shortage in advance. But the reverse decisions ahead. After goals by both Henrik Tömmernes and Elias Fälth could Frolunda beat Skelleftea 3-2.

– Really nice to beat them, says Joel Lundqvist to C More.

There was a fire underestimated Frölunda came to Västerbotten. When the Indians stepped onto the ice, it was without three of their regular defenders.

Mr Larsson had earlier in the day helped to defeat the United States in the Junior World Championships, while Lukas Bengtsson and Oscar Fantenberg both were forced to stay in Gothenburg because of injuries.

But the shortfalls was nothing that was noticeable when the game kicked off. It was a Frolunda – Oliver Lauridsen back from shutdown – which started at a furious pace and created several trades directly, but without being able to outwit Markus Svensson in the case.

Immediate came Joel Lundqvist in the game short-handed superiority – by Spencer Abbott legs – hitting the outside of the post.

After Frölunda’s initial forcing grew Skelleftea into the period. The home side took over and pushed sharply towards the end. But when it came to the finish was Lasse Johansson constantly in the way.

Despite a solid effort from Frölunda was team captain Joel Lundqvist are not completely satisfied with the team’s actions.

– We can do better. We need to be a little faster out of their own zone, with a better first pass. It is noticeable that there are two strong teams, much skating. It will be a tight game, but we can be much better, said the captain to C More after the first period.

The second period followed the same high tempo but not with the same high quality as in the first. But even if the game was as dazzling were not lacking chances. Alexander Urbom and Niclas Burström had position for Skellefteå and both robin figren and Joel Lundqvist was when pushing the puck for Frölunda.

In the end, however, the dividends. After Burström sent the puck over the boards and received call botbänken stepped Henrik Tömmernes up.

Hill interacted with Andreas Johnson before he sent up a distinctive wrist shot into the top corner and saw that Frölunda could step into the third period in the lead .

– I saw that their forwards got up and I tried to push to the side of him and it sat well up there. It is close game there. But we scored a goal in the power play so it is nice to have with itself about the third, said Henrik Tömmernes to C More after the second period.

The third period had barely start

before Joel Lundqvist increased the lead for Frölunda with one of its basic goals in his career. Lundqvist put a puck on goal as Tim Heed unfortunate ruled the shot into his own goal.

After the goal went Frölunda and pressing and after putting real pressure on Skelleftea could Elias Fälth bomb in 3-0 with a hard slap shot after 3:18.

Despite the radiating introduction, however, was not the game of the port for Frölunda. Skelleftea reduced the power play as Patrik Zackrisson vigilant steered a shot in front of the cage.

Soon after, it was time again. Fälth got tucked the puck behind his own goal which Skelleftea exploited and Per Lindholm could put the 2-3 and open to an intense conclusion.

Conclusion The minutes had elapsed when a massive Skelleftea Press but a hardworking Frölunda and a sharp Lasse Johansson could keep away and take the season’s third victory against Skellefteå. A victory also means that the Indians retains series lead.

– It is always important to beat them fun too. We played well in two periods, walked us down a bit in the third but on the whole we did a good match. Gruesomely nice to beat them, says Lundqvist.
