Finland defeated 7-6 after penalty shoot-hockey World Cup’s final in Tampere on Saturday. Sweden world champion for the fifth time in succession.
It was a swinging and even the World Cup final in Tampere. Finland had the lead with 2-1 and 3-2 before Sweden could turn around and lead 4-3 before the third period.
Where chirped Finland immediately and took World Cup final to an uncertain extension. There, both teams ample opportunity to determine, but the sharpness of the trades was missing.
The World Cup final went to penalty shootout, where Finland took command. For the fifth and final Swedish penalty, but Anna Jakobsson had to score to prevent Finland from winning World Championship gold.
And certainly set the penalty. Amanda Johansson Delgado, who set the second Swedish penalty in regular shootouts, then got the chance again when the sudden-penalty were adopted.
After a fine penalty save by Sara Hjorting, who was substituted during the shootout in the Swedish case, decided then Johansson Delgado until the Swedish 5-4 victory after penalty shoot-out.
