Sweden fell against Canada in rehearsal – even crazy pickup – Swedish Radio

It turns on the junior crowns. Sweden picked up a seemingly impossible disadvantage against Canada in the dress rehearsal for the JVM – but still lost. The match ended 7-6 to Canada.

After two relatively easy wins against Denmark and Slovakia were waiting on Wednesday a much tougher test for the Swedish junior crowns. Canada were the opponents in Helsinki at the dress rehearsal for the JVM that starts on Boxing Day, and after the second period had the tournament’s preliminary Favorites took down Sweden on earth.

In my act was apparent Canada from 1- 1 to 5-1 – and most thought that the game was decided.

But the junior crowns wanted otherwise.

In the third period reduced Sweden only twice if within a short time. Canada stack up and then made 6-3, but the Swedes were not clear.

When Marcus Pettersson bombed out 6-6 from the blue line was the unlikely pickup a fact.

The Swedish joy , however, was not prolonged. Shortly after the equalizer put Canada 7-6, thus also the end result.

As if that were not enough with the loss, so forced the Swedish slope Sebastian Aho taken to hospital after have received a puck towards the neck. It is not yet clear whether Aho suffered any damage.

Sweden set against Switzerland in the first match of the JVM. The group also includes the United States, Denmark and Canada. Prior to the

championship, the Swedish squad slimmed to three players.
