Mattias Backman return to the club after a half season in the AHL.

The season 2012/2013 beat Mattias Backman breakthrough in Linköping and then wrote a contract with Deroit Red Wings. He was loaned out, however, Linköping, but began this season in the Atlantic.

Bäckman moved, however, down to the AHL team Grand Rapids but even there he managed to get a regular spot. Last week, it was clear that 22-year-old leaves Detorits organization.

“Feels very good”

Now he’s ready to Linkoping. The Club confirms the return on its website.

– Mattias is a Linkoping guy and when it was clear that he wanted to come home to the LHC so it was natural for us

to solve it. We have been helped by a number of benevolent partners who have made this deal possible for us and Mattias says the LHC’s General Manager Fredrik Emvall to the club’s website.

– It feels great to come home to Linköping and LHC. I look forward to finish the season at home and I want to get started with playing matches live, says Backman.
