Nasty scenes – collapsed in the booth – Expressen

LOS ANGELES. It was a horrid sight that made his team-mates to yell at the referees to stop the game.

The Dane Jannik Hansen suddenly fell together in Vancouver’s player base and Henrik Sedin with several hurried to get him up on the bench again and get the game stopped.

– He was all right afterwards, but no fun to see, says Henke to SportExpressen.se about the dramatic collapse.

Vancouver coach Willie Desjardins could give some reassurance quarter after the final whistle at Rogers Arena:

– Hansen is in the hospital now and have been examined by a doctor. He collapsed in the booth when he could not breathe, but all is well with him now, said Desjardins afterwards.

Hansen went on a hard foul deep in the attacking zone of Calgary slope Dennis Wideman after barely two minutes of the second period.

The 28-year-old Dane, who is in his ninth season in Vancouver, got out of the stall under its own power, but hardly had time to sit down before he fell forwards off the bench.

Pulled up again Hansen

Henrik Sedin and two other teammates quickly got hold of him and with the help of one of the team’s trainers could get up Hansen in a sitting position again.

The referees blew on Vancouver Gamers request of the game and

the Canucks game doctor came quickly springandes over the ice supported by two of the team’s players.

Hansen led out of the locker room behind playing the booth and was then transferred by ambulance to a hospital in nearby.

The reports from there after the game was reassuring for Hansen’s teammates.

– He could not breathe, it was a result of rigging he had just gone on. It is rare that these things happen, but everything is calm now. He feels good, announced Desjardins when he met the media afterward.

Broke heavy Suite

The match, then?

Well, Vancouver finally got a victory after five straight losses.

But it was not until the extension before Chris Tanevs forward played by Daniel and Henrik Sedin had a dream location and at full speed could topple forward in the firing sector and snipe 3-2. And tinkering two points.

Daniel Sedin had two assists in the game and was named to the evening’s third star after Tanev and Calgary’s Johnny Gaudreau.
